Can you provide a small Jazz and Blues band ?
Yes, Mojo Rising can perform a set of acoustic or upbeat Jazz, blues and soul music. This style of music is ideal for during the meal or just after the ceremony. Demos are available on request.
Can you provide music at a ceremony ?
Yes, we can perform a range of music. You could have solo piano or guitar. Guitar and vocals, piano and vocals. Demos are available on request.
Do you play with backing tracks ?
We are a completely live band. We feel backing tracks dilute the performance of a “real”, live sound.
Can you perform ceilidh music ?
We perform 20 minutes of a selection of Scottish dances. This will include live accordion.
Will I also need to hire a DJ ?
We are happy to play a selection of continuous music that is mixed together before and between our performances. Most clients do not find that they need a DJ in addition to the band.
How long does the sound-check and set-up take ?
It takes 50 minutes to set-up & sound check equipment. This will take place after your meal. For us to do a full sound-check we ask that there be no guests in the room at this time.
Can I choose the set I want at my wedding ?
With years of experience in entertainment, we select the songs and the order in which we play them in order to ensure the best performance possible. However please feel free to choose any songs you prefer from our repertoire and we will ensure they are played.
How long do you play ?
We perform from 8-12 with one break in the middle for your buffet.
Do you bring your own PA system & Lighting Rig ?
Yes, we will provide all the equipment that is necessary for your event. For audiences over 300 we ask you to provide the equipment.
Is your PA tested and insured ?
Yes, our PA is PAT tested and insurance and testing certificates are available on request.
Do you have public liability insurance ?
Yes, we are fully insured.
Can you play longer ?
We can perform longer if needed. This must be agreed in writing before the event. There will be an additional charge for performing over normal time.
Could you play backing music when you have your break ?
Of course! We carefully arrange the style of music appropriate for your event. If there is a certain style you would like that is always welcome.
How loud do you play ?
The volume of the band is matched to the size of your venue. We prefer to play at a level that is comfortable for the listener to enjoy.
Can we sing or play with you ?
Yes, we love a bit of fun !

How much do you cost ?
The performance fee is charged to your own event. This can be worked out by location of venue, traveling fees, the length of performance. You can email us on the booking page for an instant quote.
